Electronic Calibration Technician (Level II)
Tra-Cal laboratory is actively seeking an Electronic Calibration Technician (Level II) to help support our rapidly growing team. If you are looking to grow your professional and technical capability, and progress to a senior calibration technician or beyond, then this is an ideal role for you. We believe in training and investing in the growth of our people. The ideal candidate for this position will have the opportunity to be promoted to a senior-level technician role within 2-4 years.
Tra-Cal is an ISO/IEC 17025-2017, ANSI Z540-1/ Z540.3 accredited calibration lab in Gaithersburg, MD and 30 minutes from Washington D.C. NSCA is our test and measurement equipment sales and rental business. We serve critically important customers including NASA, the Department of Defense, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Raytheon, WMATA (D.C. metro) and hundreds of others. We have one of the most expansive scopes of accreditation in the region which enables us to serve diverse equipment and customers. This position is ideal for a technician who is seeking to grow in their career, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and on a wide range of equipment, and is excited by our mission to support critical customers in the aerospace, defense, pharmaceutical, transportation, and telecom industries.
No day in the Tra-Cal lab is the same. Our technicians are challenged to work on different equipment daily, perform onsite calibrations, and learn new technical disciplines. We are proudly Veteran owned and operated and independent (e.g. not part of a larger parent corporation). Our President is a former Army Green Beret and our lab manager served 25 years as a calibration technician in the Air Force before joining Tra-Cal in 2011. We take our jobs and professions very seriously, but not ourselves. We enjoy Hawaiian T-Shirt Fridays, BBQs, and believe in the professional development of our people.
