Associate Director, U.S. Account Management Strategy

Merck seeks an Associate Director to advance integrated account management strategy and market access capabilities in the U.S. This hybrid role translates strategic vision into scalable execution by embedding account management frameworks into product launches and supporting enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead account management workstreams for product launches, including capability development and field implementation
- Support implementation and adoption of One Company Account Management Strategy across enterprise
- Manage Core Functional Skills framework integration and talent upskilling across account management roles
- Develop analyses and executive updates on transformation progress and capability maturity metrics
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business units, finance, legal, and field leadership on market access initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum five years in sales, account management, market access, or related healthcare functions
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking with ability to frame complex issues and inform business decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication for executive-level materials and presentations
- Demonstrated project management and cross-functional collaboration skills without direct authority
- Understanding of U.S. healthcare market access dynamics, payers, channels, and stakeholders
- Proven change management and leadership capabilities
