MRI Technologist

Sign-on Bonus Included! As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies, on site and/or remote. You ensure effective communication with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers, particularly those working in a mobile environment. You train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants as needed. Responsibilities Perform patient safety duties, including pre‑screening for contraindications and aseptic injection technique. Produce high‑quality diagnostic images, operating multiple MR systems when required. Utilize all communication channels to address concerns, solve problems, and manage conflict. Effectively communicate with customers and radiologists. Provide training and orientation to new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants on site and/or remote. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent experience. ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registration (or ARRT in lieu of ARRT). State license if applicable. CPR certification. Valid state driver’s license if required. 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience, or enrollment for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program. No prior MRI experience required for registrants of RT(MR) or ARMRIT. Ability to work at multiple locations. Strong customer service, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills. Basic computer and program proficiency. COVID‑19 vaccination is or may be a condition of employment. Local travel may be required. Preferred: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience; ARRT registry in Magnetic Resonance; 1 year of MRI experience. Physical Requirements May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions while transporting patients on a mobile unit. Exposure to strong magnetic fields is inherent to the role. Potential exposure to blood/body fluids and infectious diseases when interacting with patients. More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive hand, arm and leg movements; see, speak and hear to communicate with patients. Less than 50% of the time: stoop, kneel or crawl; climb and balance; carry and lift non‑ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or examination.
