Here, dietitians play an integral role on multidisciplinary teams in many specialty areas and work within a 600‑bed inpatient setting as well as over 30 outpatient clinics. RDs participate in research and quality improvement projects, host dietetic interns, and are supported in pursuing leadership and community service experiences. Continuing education opportunities are plentiful from within the accomplished nutrition team and from the health system. We operate 12 outpatient dialysis facilities in Central Virginia. Current Opening: Full‑time Outpatient Dialysis Facility in Altavista, VA – 30 miles south of Lynchburg, VA. This Position Renal Registered Dietitian in an outpatient dialysis facility covering approximately 80‑100 patients. Part of a team of thirteen RDs in 12 facilities, providing support, education, and networking. Work with a comprehensive interdisciplinary healthcare team in a chronic care setting. Provide education opportunities for MDs, patients, and other healthcare professionals. Encourage growth and professional advancement as part of a dynamic nutrition team. Qualifications Enthusiastic about renal nutrition, continuous quality improvement, and comprehensive individualized plans of care for chronic kidney disease patients. Works well independently and with a team. Has a minimum of one year clinical experience post registration with the CDR. Has a strong interest in renal disease states and clinical nutrition.
