Job Responsibilities Clinical Leadership Provide clinical oversight and guidance to nursing staff to ensure adherence to best practices, standards of care, and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance the quality and safety of patient care. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting evidence-based practices and staff development initiatives. Staff Management Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing personnel. Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to enhance staff performance and job satisfaction. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and respect among staff members. Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing practices, healthcare delivery, and facility operations. Coordinate with regulatory agencies and participate in surveys, audits, and inspections to maintain accreditation and licensure. Implement corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives as needed to address deficiencies and ensure ongoing compliance. Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Develop and oversee QAPI programs to monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality and effectiveness of nursing services. Analyze data, trends, and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance patient care and satisfaction. Lead interdisciplinary teams in root cause analysis, action planning, and performance monitoring to achieve quality goals and objectives. Interdisciplinary Collaboration Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of residents. Facilitate interdisciplinary meetings to discuss resident progress, coordinate care transitions, and address complex medical and psychosocial issues. Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, and other departments to promote effective communication and interdisciplinary teamwork. Qualifications of the Director of Nursing Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing Valid State licensure as an RN Familiar with local, state & federal regulations for Long-Term Care Experience in supervising nursing staff and others for whom they are administratively or professionally responsible. Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information.
