Travel Registered Nurse First Assist Job

Overview Registered Nurse – First Assist (RNFA) traveling assignment in a short-term acute care hospital in Lodi, CA. Start date: 08/24/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,546–$2,807 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 5x8 days. This position involves perioperative patient care and direct first‑assist duties in the operating room. Verbally confirm the surgical site/side before induction of anesthesia. Assist with tissue handling, dissection, and coordinated vascular control (clamps, coagulation, ligation) in collaboration with the surgeon. Suturing of muscle, fascia, subcutaneous tissue, and skin in collaboration with the surgeon; place drains as indicated. Assist with cannulation/decannulation procedures when indicated; participate in transferring the patient as needed to postoperative areas.
