Description

• Assess individuals across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized evaluations and observational insights.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that encompass immediate goals while addressing overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Conduct individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing facilitation.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge unified care approaches.
• Provide essential educational resources to patients and families to encourage progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure continuous and quality care along the patient journey.
• Keep meticulous and timely documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Remain at the forefront of the profession through continual education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
