- Assess individuals across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized evaluations and observational insights.
- Craft tailored treatment plans that encompass immediate goals while addressing overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Conduct individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing facilitation.
- Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge unified care approaches.
- Provide essential educational resources to patients and families to encourage progress beyond the clinical environment.
- Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure continuous and quality care along the patient journey.
- Keep meticulous and timely documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Remain at the forefront of the profession through continual education and collaboration with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapy approaches for all age groups, with a robust understanding of developmental and acquired disorders related to speech, language, and swallowing.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adeptness in tailoring therapy techniques to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment and innovative problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation requirements.
