Job Description

Purpose and scope of role: The Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the flow of work throughout the manufacturing by monitoring work in process (WIP), removing production constraints, supporting scheduling and purchasing, and ensuring timely completion of customer orders. This position provides operational support across Production, Purchasing, Inventory, and Shipping, while serving as a cross-trained resource for critical business functions. The Operations Coordinator position is full time non-exempt position. Travel is minimal, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. Accessible by phone early mornings, late nights, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities and Authority: Operations Coordinator has the following responsibilities/authority: Facilitates the flow of work orders in order to meet company stock dates and schedules. Assist with the creation, management, and completion of work orders/job packets. Assist with daily opening and closing procedures of the factory as needed. Monitors production related equipment so maintenance is up to date. Responsible for overseeing assembler housekeeping in the transformer/power supply departments. Assists with FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and ESD (Electro Static Discharge) programs, and other Quality initiatives in the power supply and transformer departments. Assists with the interviewing and training of new power supply/transformer assemblers. Alerts Purchasing and Operations of any shortages that affect active work orders. Alerts Purchasing, production, and Operations of any floor stock requirements. Facilitates the traceability of work orders. Assists with training for any power supply assemblers, transformer assemblers, and stockroom personnel when needed. Responsible for grounds maintenance as needed by the Director of Operations. Assists with shipping and product documentation requirements. Assist with cycle count and kitting as required by the director of Operations.

Operations Coordinator helps manage the Leads (Lead Power Supply Assembler, Lead Transformers Assembler, and Lead Final Process Assembler).

Job Competency / Qualifications Education and Training: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent preferred. Technical Requirements: Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Special Skills: Good mechanical ability. Advanced knowledge of color code, soldering techniques and component I.D. Ability to use and train employees on proper and safe use of hand tools. Attention to detail to ensure electronic components fit and function as needed. Ability to provide daily guidance to up to thirty (30) employees included but not limited to: Assemblers and Leads. Ability to provide feedback on team member performance, handle performance issues, and hold annual employee performance reviews. Ability to speak Spanish. Ability to build effective relationships, whether internally. Effective presentation skills. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. Previous employee supervision experience preferred; OR Any combination of training, education, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties successfully and meet business objectives.
