Cable Technician
Location: New Jersey Woodcliff Lake Area Pay: $28$32/hr Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Schedule: MondayThursday, 410-hour shifts Start Date: September 28, 2026 Duration: Through the end of 2026 with potential for full-time employment
Position Overview
We are looking for experienced Cable Technicians to support a low-voltage cabling project in the New Jersey area. This is a great opportunity for technicians with strong structured cabling experience who are interested in a potential long-term opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Install, pull, route, test, and terminate low-voltage cabling.
- Install and terminate CAT6 and CAT6A cabling.
- Install cable support structures such as racks, J-hooks, and ladder systems.
- Follow project specifications and installation requirements.
- Maintain quality workmanship and safe work practices.
- Work as part of a professional installation team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of low-voltage or structured cabling experience.
- Hands-on experience installing and terminating CAT6 and CAT6A.
- Experience with cable pulling, testing, and termination.
- Ability to use basic hand tools, including snips, pliers, screwdrivers, and a cordless drill.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday.
