$22.00 - $30.00/hr* Full time Shifts may vary Position Summary As a Prepared Foods and Café Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates who create and serve meals to our members - giving them more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Prepared Foods and Café and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. What You'll Do Be a Team Leader: Supervise the team within all prepared foods departments, facilitate rotations through different fresh areas, and manage members’ needs to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club, communicating goals, executing company programs, adhering to policies, and advocating for the member, associate, and company. Be an Expert: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations, ensuring the prepared foods area meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance. Manage seasonality, understand new products, recipes, processes, and production specifications, prioritize time across areas, collaborate with associates and third parties, and share knowledge and training. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production training and product quality, adopting new tools and encouraging usage. Be an Owner: Drive business results, ensuring commitment to operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a tidy and safe prepared foods area, ensuring appropriate staffing, accurate audit and compliance standards, producing and displaying merchandise per the layout plan, and engaging with other departments and third‑party partners. Be a Talent Ambassador: Teach and train the team, identify training needs, develop necessary skills, encourage career growth, and source new talent internally and externally. Develop and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners, analyzing information, monitoring progress, and addressing improvement opportunities. Demonstrate and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, guiding and modeling application in business processes, implementing action plans, and using the Open Door Policy to address ethical and compliance issues. Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, determining customer needs and business priorities, coordinating work assignments, and providing feedback to ensure quality and timelines are achieved while modeling adaptability to change. Must successfully complete all required trainings and assessments within a prescribed timeframe if hired. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising a team.
