Electrical Engineer Student Missionary

This is an organization controlled and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA). Processed by: Adventist World Radio AWR in Guam is looking for an electrical engineering student to come as a student missionary and work alongside our engineers. Adventist World Radio Agat, Guam 10 Months Volunteer | Full-time | On site Responsibilities Transmitter operation and maintenance Performing procedures included in the preventative maintenance schedule Noting any abnormal conditions of the transmitters and components and reporting these to the Chief Engineer or immediate supervisor Antenna inspection and maintenance Assistance in general maintenance of the antennas Assist with emergency repair after storm damage Assist with general inventory of antenna parts Assistance with computer network operations and maintenance Perform backups as directed by the network administrator Assist the network administrator when upgrading systems Take part in the engineering call rotation. Provide 24-hour assistance to station operations when first, second, on call. Log all errors to provide a history of problems and solutions Provide second-person assistance during potentially dangerous procedures to ensure the safety of all persons involved Be present at engineering meetings to discuss station operation and maintenance Share problems or potential problems and provide suggestions to resolve them. Share in technical discussions to provide alternate viewpoints of problems / solutions Other responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Engineer or immediate supervisor Qualifications Recent Graduate in Electrical Engineering, Or Senior Student in Electrical Engineering, Or Junior Student in Electrical Engineering Seventh-Day Adventist Accommodations On-site apartment shared with a fellow student missionary. #J-18808-Ljbffr
