Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF) night shift position in Madison, WI, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Free-standing, 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital serving adults with high-acuity needs
• Specialized programs include stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions requiring inpatient rehabilitative services
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend required, with holiday rotation
• On-call responsibilities required
• Float to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future
• Equipment includes ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy and Sara Plus, slide boards, vital sign machines, EKG machine, BGM, and computers for charting
• EMR: Epic (minimum 13 weeks of Epic experience required)

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment
• Minimum 13 weeks of Epic EMR experience required
• Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience strongly preferred
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• CARF-accredited Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program; also accredited by The Joint Commission
• The unit operates similarly to a Med-Surg environment at times due to high patient acuity
• All nursing staff are expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights as needed for patient safety
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Local candidates are not accepted
