The position within Neurosurgery is on call with up to 150 hours in a 6‑week time block. The Surgical Technologist II role ensures all necessary elements are in place for surgical procedures. It also participates in the teaching of staff and students and must meet all criteria for a Surgical Technologist I. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology required. License/Certifications: Must obtain certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within three months of start date, or at director’s discretion for positions at MMC. Certification preferred at SMHC. Current BLS certification required, or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Experience: One year of experience required. Must demonstrate competency in all essential functions of a Surgical Technologist I role.
