This full-time, on-site role in La Mesa, CA involves preparing and reviewing engineering designs, plans, and specifications for site development, transportation, utilities, and stormwater systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, performing technical analyses and calculations, and overseeing preparation of reports and permit applications. The Senior Civil Engineer will participate in client meetings, support project planning and scheduling, and provide quality control review of design documents. The role also includes identifying design improvements, managing project budgets and timelines, and supporting business development efforts as needed.QualificationsStrong technical proficiency in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, including site development, grading, utilities, and roadway design.Experience in Planning and project scoping, including feasibility studies, preliminary design, and coordination with agencies and stakeholders.Specialized knowledge in Stormwater Management, including hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, drainage design, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills working with Civil Engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license in California strongly preferred.Proficiency with civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology/hydraulics tools) and standard office productivity tools.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation, client interaction, and team coordination.Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. xhyhwjd Experience with local codes, standards, and permitting processes in California is highly beneficial.
