About the Property The Hotel Indigo Cleveland Gateway boasts 143 guest-rooms and suites, over 2,400 square feet of meeting space, and two outlets including our signature restaurant. What You Will Have an Opportunity to Do We are looking for an experienced Maintenance person, who is highly motivated and detail oriented to join our team as a Maintenance Engineer. This individual performs a variety of maintenance trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, HVAC, painting, wall repair, tile work, and upkeep of the preventative maintenance program of the resort/hotel. Your Role Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Perform general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring and air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures and motors. Make repairs on plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems. Make repairs to woodwork, wall vinyl, doors and windows, carpeting, etc. Perform general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment. Keep records as required by company policy and procedures. Maintain logs on completed tasks. Prepare reports as requested by supervisors. Submit all requested reports/logs in a timely manner. What We Are Looking For Experience working in a Maintenance role at a hotel or resort. Knowledge of "household" repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.). Engaging and welcoming personality. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests. Excellent communication skills. Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push or pull throughout the duration of shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
