Senior Principal Cloud Engineer

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree, or 4+ additional years of IT experience in place of a degree.
• We need 7+ years of cloud computing experience, including hands-on work designing or managing solutions on one or more major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
• We require experience designing and deploying cloud solutions across multiple providers, along with DevOps tooling such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Git.
• We need proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible, plus vendor-native tools such as CloudFormation, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
• We value familiarity with cloud template technologies including Azure Resource Manager, GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, and architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
• We require experience automating workflows with scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, JSON, or Ansible.
• We require a DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification, such as CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCP, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
• We prefer familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes across managed services in AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
• We prefer familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite, especially JIRA and Confluence.
• We prefer understanding of FIPS-199, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-53A, NIST SP 800-37, and DoD Cloud Security Requirements Guide.
• We prefer multi-cloud technical certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect.
• We require an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• We require the ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time, move around the office as needed, communicate frequently with coworkers, management, and customers, and exchange accurate information, including during presentations.

• We support multi-cloud services and infrastructure across enterprise cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation.
• We troubleshoot and resolve issues in multi-cloud environments while applying cloud security best practices.
• We use multi-cloud data and security services to strengthen security posture, logging, and compliance across platforms.
• We write and maintain automation scripts in PowerShell, Python, or CLI and run them through serverless and cloud automation services.
• We configure network security groups, application gateways, and other controls to secure cloud resources across varied environments.
• We manage compute, storage, networking, and database services across one or more cloud environments.
• We apply security best practices and compliance standards while working collaboratively across teams to address complex technical needs.

In this role, we design, implement, and manage secure multi-cloud infrastructures across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in support of mission-critical operations, with a strong emphasis on security monitoring and threat detection.
