Job Summary Position: RN (Urgent Care – Emergency Department) – Onsite, PRN. Location UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hospital Central, Colorado Springs, CO. Department SRSS So Region Ed Float Pool. Work Schedule & Shift PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Shift includes a combination of shifts. Pay $35.29 – $54.71 per hour (dependent on relevant experience). Minimum Requirements Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years’ experience. State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). 6 months of nursing (RN) experience. AWS ACLS and either PALS or ENPC upon hire. TNCC or ATCN, and whichever of PALS or ENPC was not obtained at hire within 1 year. Registered Nurse Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Trauma Nurse Core Course. Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses. Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course. PALS Certification. BLS – BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date; BLS or CPR card must be valid through 60 days of hire. Responsibilities Provides top‑of‑scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process. Values a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes. Prioritizes wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence‑based practice. Models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth. Welcomes new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment. Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care. Direct care includes Emergency Department level of care up to and including level 1 trauma designation. Works under BCEN certification standards included in evidence‑based care models. Collaborates with Clinical Educators to support individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
