Data Engineer 3

Comcast Corporation is hiring a Data Engineer 3 to design and run advanced data structures and pipelines that support data quality, accessibility, and privacy and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Design and build data architectures and pipelines to standardize, transform, and protect data integrity for business insights Maintain data quality across ingestion, processing, and loading, with consistent high standards Develop ingestion frameworks for multiple data types, including data quality monitoring and reporting Create accessible data consumption paths such as APIs , database views , and data extracts for user applications Implement data solutions across platforms including Kubernetes , Teradata , and cloud services such as AWS and Databricks Select data storage platforms based on data sensitivity , privacy requirements , and access needs Use data lineage and apply transformation rules to support change management and issue resolution Partner with cross-functional teams to refine data sourcing and processing for improved quality and efficiency Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; able to work nights and weekends and adjust to variable schedules as necessary Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Requirements SQL proficiency Programming language proficiency (Python preferred) Distributed computing framework proficiency (e.g., Apache Spark ) Cloud Data Warehouse management experience Knowledge of at least one cloud provider: AWS , GCP , or Azure Familiarity with data pipeline design patterns Knowledge of data observability Technologies SQL Python Apache Spark AWS, GCP, Azure Kubernetes Teradata Databricks dbt Airflow Snowflake Looker data lineage data observability APIs database views data extracts Data Lakehouse Architecture Preferred / Desired Exposure Exposure to embedded Business Intelligence such as Looker (desired but not required) Exposure to modern data stack components such as dbt , Airflow , Snowflake , and Apache Spark (highly desired) Exposure to data consumption challenges and solutions (highly desired) Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree 5-7 years relevant work experience Minimum experience: 5 years Expected Company Principles Understand and apply Operating Principles to daily work Own the customer experience and support seamless digital options Know your stuff by learning, using, and advocating for products and digital tools Win as a team by working together and staying open to new ideas Be active in the Net Promoter System through huddles, call backs, and improving customer outcomes Drive results and growth Support a culture of inclusion Do what is right for each other, customers, investors, and communities Benefits Best-in-class benefits to eligible employees Array of options with expert guidance and always-on tools personalized to individual needs Location: Chicago, IL (onsite) Salary Range: USD 103,643 - 170,271 per year Disclaimer: Job duties and qualifications described are intended to indicate the general nature and level of work performed and are not a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications. #J-18808-Ljbffr DataJobs
