Bridge Engineer

Wilson & Company is seeking a full‑time bridge (structures) engineer to support our bridge team in the Phoenix Office. Responsibilities Design and detail railroad and highway structures, including reinforced concrete, pre‑stressed concrete, steel, earth‑retaining systems, and drainage structures. Perform complex engineering tasks accurately, including extracting engineering information from CAD drawings. Develop drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction. Lead the structural design of projects and mentor entry‑level staff in the design and production of construction drawings. Communicate effectively with entry‑level staff, provide reports and updates to senior staff and clients, and collaborate with other offices and Structure Bridge groups. Work within a multidisciplinary team environment across multiple locations and be available to meet with clients and pursue work. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus) from an ABET‑accredited school. 7+ years of experience in structural engineering design, including bridge, retaining wall, and other transportation structures (ideally 10+ years). Licensed Professional Engineer in the state or the ability to obtain the license within six months. Experience in plan development, analysis, and design calculations, quality control of highway or railroad structures, and familiarity with AASHTO and/or AREMA. Proficiency with engineering software such as Leap Bridge Concrete, MDX, MIDAS, Risa, Lpile, Mathcad, and related tools. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in both office and field settings. Compensation & Location Job Location: Phoenix, AZ.
