Radiation Therapist II

Job Summary: This role involves applying imaging techniques and radiation therapy to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include preparing patients, administering prescribed radiation doses, monitoring for reactions, and maintaining equipment and records. The technologist ensures patient safety, explains procedures, and collaborates with healthcare professionals. Qualifications & Skills: An associate’s degree in Radiologic Science, certification from AART, and licensure by the Radiation Control Board are required. One year of radiation therapy experience is mandatory, with three years preferred. Skills include excellent communication, attention to detail, knowledge of anatomy, and the ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism. Key Duties: Delivering accurate radiation treatments, verifying prescriptions, patient education, monitoring reactions, preparing treatment rooms, assisting in simulations and dosimetry, performing equipment checks, maintaining documentation, and ensuring a clean, organized department.
