This role involves low‑level Linux development, system configuration, secure networking, and integration of software on embedded, on‑premise, and restricted environments. The ideal candidate has strong Linux internals knowledge combined with hands‑on networking experience.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and test Linux‑based applications, system services, and tools for aerospace and defense platforms.Develop and integrate system‑level software including kernel modules, drivers, networking daemons, and custom Linux distributions.Configure, optimize, and harden Linux networking stacks and services (routing, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, NTP, SSH).Implement networking protocols and middleware for mission systems, avionics test environments, satellite ground systems, and secure communication networks.Troubleshoot complex issues involving networking performance, packet flow, kernel behavior, and hardware interaction.Develop automation scripts and tools (Bash, Python) to support deployment, monitoring, and configuration management. Perform analysis, testing, and integration in lab environments, hardware‑in‑the‑loop setups, and air‑gapped networks.Contribute to technical documentation including requirements, design specifications, user manuals, and other customer required deliverables.
