Mold Tooling Engineer

For this role, we're seeking someone with strong experience in: Hands-on sustaining support for injection molds in a production environment Tool room operations and tooling management Maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of high-precision, multi-cavity medical molds Supporting day-to-day molding operations and production issues Please continue to keep us in mind if you have candidates with a stronger background in medical injection molding, sustaining tooling engineering, and tool room management. What a typical day looks like: Design and engineer moderately complex tooling protocols for molds, jigs, and fixtures as per product specifications. Participate in design reviews. Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) evaluation. Validation for the molding designs and troubleshooting tooling issues. Collaborate with other team members to qualification, sampling, and final part approval. Provide status reports as per established schedule. Prepare and maintain documentation related to tool room equipment. The experience we’re looking to add to our team: Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and training for 8+ years of related experience in thermoplastics, thermosets, injection molding (e.g. product design, validation of tools), mold flows, troubleshooting and resolving tooling issues, strong familiarity with molding processes. Proficient with use of the tools, experience with electronic assembly: color code, component, and schematics. Experience with PCB operations. Testing: oscilloscope, cable and harness testing, trouble shooting, component testing, logic analyzer. Inspection: bare board, systems, components, cable and harness, microscope, measuring tools.
