Cedarvale Commons is seeking dedicated and dependable Dietary Aides and Cooks to join our dietary team. If you’re passionate about food service and enjoy making a difference in the daily lives of others, we’d love to meet you!

Our Dietary Aides and Cooks work together to provide residents with nutritious, appetizing meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. These roles are essential to ensuring a positive dining experience for all residents.

Dietary Aide:

• Assist with meal service, including tray setup and delivery

• Help residents during mealtimes as needed

• Maintain cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas

• Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment

• Follow sanitation and food safety guidelines

• Support the dietary team with daily operations

Cook:

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus and dietary requirements

• Ensure food is prepared and served at proper temperatures

• Follow portion control and therapeutic diet guidelines

• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen

• Assist with inventory and food storage

• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations

Dietary Aide:

• Previous food service experience preferred, but not required

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Positive, resident-focused attitude

Cook:

• Previous cooking experience, preferably in healthcare or food service

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions accurately

• Strong organizational and time management skills

For Both Roles:

• Dependable and team-oriented

• Willingness to learn and grow

• Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
