Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Conduct bedside evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans; implement evidence-based speech-language pathology interventions.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient progress and discharge planning.
• Document patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and regulatory-compliant records.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on strategies to support communication, cognitive functioning, and safe swallowing.

Requirements

• Active California licensure to practice Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility to obtain).
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Clinical experience in speech-language pathology; acute care experience preferred.
• Ability to work in an acute care setting with diverse patient populations.
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; familiarity with regulatory guidelines.
