Field Services Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Base pay range $50.00/hr - $54.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Prosum This is a full-time/direct-hire Field Services Engineer position with a growing international semiconductor equipment provider with a presence in Albany, NY. This role will primarily service the Albany, NY area, but will require considerable travel to other East Coast locations starting in 2026. Benefits include 100% covered healthcare (for individual, dependent and family), 5% 401k match, discretionary bonus, commuter stipend, 15 days vacation, all federal holidays paid, etc. Job Description: This position is responsible for providing field service engineering activities to Company customers independently This position troubleshoots more complicated products and problems Receives service calls from customers Determines customer need or problem and responds accordingly May provide over-the-phone consultation and advice to customer, may need to respond to emergency customer situation or may schedule and repair Company’s products at customer site Performs preventative maintenance on Company products Establishes and manages a local maintenance service Provides liaison between customer and applications programmer for customer requests involving change in applications Researches market needs and customer applications of Company products Submits application report to management in a timely manner Supports sales activities and establishes and maintains good relationship with customers Participates in sales meetings as required Provides training to other Company field service engineers as needed Submits various reports, such as service reports, weekly report, and expense report to management in a timely manner Requirements: Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent field At least 2 years in an Engineering role or as a Field Service Engineer within the semiconductor industry Desire to be customer facing Occasional travel domestically to other client cities as needed Seniority level Seniority level Associate Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Industries Semiconductor Manufacturing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Prosum by 2x Inferred from the description for this job Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Paid paternity leave Paid maternity leave Disability insurance Student loan assistance Tuition assistance Get notified about new Field Services Engineer jobs in Albany, New York Metropolitan Area .
