Position Details
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients across childhood, adult, and senior age groups utilizing standardized assessment tools and observational methods.
- Craft individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognition, or swallowing challenges.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions honing in on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaborate with fellow clinicians, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
- Provide resources and educational support to patients and families to promote progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Facilitate periodic inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring a seamless care experience for each patient.
- Keep detailed and timely documentation per regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Remain informed on the latest trends and developments in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and professional collaboration.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
- Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for clients of all ages, alongside a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to modify therapy approaches to cater to various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical insight and problem-solving skills.
- Adept with electronic health records and compliance documentation.
