Associate Executive Director

The Associate Executive Director is responsible for leading center operations , including program development, membership growth, staff supervision, marketing, community engagement, and strategic initiatives. This role provides leadership to Program Directors and positions the YMCA as a vital community asset supporting youth development , healthy living , and social responsibility . This is a high‑impact leadership role requiring strong operational management, strategic thinking, and the ability to inspire teams while advancing the YMCA mission. Emergency Response Leadership — Designated as a First Responder in emergencies. Budget Management — Manages center budget, income targets, and expense control in collaboration with the Executive Director. Staff Supervision — Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates Program Directors and center staff. Strategic Leadership — Sets and communicates a clear vision aligned with YMCA mission and goals. Program Evaluation — Evaluates existing programs and leads development of new initiatives aligned with strategic priorities. Youth & Member Engagement — Provides leadership for youth, teen, outreach, and member engagement/retention initiatives. Policy & Committee Leadership — Guides program development, policies, and committees to align with center and association goals. Marketing & Public Relations — Supports strategic planning, marketing, public relations, and promotional efforts. Community Engagement — Leads annual campaign efforts and builds community partnerships and events. Facility Operations — Oversees scheduling, equipment, and financial assistance processes. Staff Development — Ensures staff development, reporting, administration, and integration of YMCA core values. Perform additional duties as assigned to support YMCA mission and operations.
