Therapy - Sleep Tech

Polysomnographic Technician

The role requires a technician to work primarily with outpatient populations, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Candidates should have experience managing sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and other sleep disorders. Patient ratios are 1:2, with special attention required for infants or pediatrics under age 6, where the ratio is 1:1. Technicians will prepare and fit PAP masks and be knowledgeable about therapeutic respiratory devices. They must document baseline values accurately and be able to monitor and troubleshoot monitoring equipment. Basic patient care skills are essential as the technician may need to assist with ambulation. Candidates should be confident working independently, as the clinic may operate based on patient census. Weekend rotations are required every other weekend, with no call or holiday shifts expected. Uniform requirements include pewter scrubs and a specific color for t-shirts. It is essential for technicians to maintain a visible badge at all times.
