Your role includes implementing and evaluating care plans, performing assigned tasks, and collaborating with the nursing and multidisciplinary teams to support patient well-being.This position floats to various units within the UCLA Health system based on the patient census and the skills of the Psychiatric Technician.*May convert to a career opportunity*Salary range: $41.37-$41.37 HourlyJob QualificationsWe're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated professional with:At least 6 months of clinical experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting or equivalent requiredCalifornia Psychiatric Technician Licensure requiredBLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross requiredDemonstrated ability to provide individual and group activities to psychiatric patients on an acute psychiatric inpatientKnowledge of psychological functioning and deviations from normalKnowledge of growth and development throughout the life spanKnowledge of techniques of therapeutic communicationKnowledge of drug administrationKnowledge of management of assaultive behaviorKnowledge of evacuation, fire and disaster proceduresKnowledge of HIPAA
