Sous Chef

Position Summary Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado SantaFe is seeking a hardworking and driven individual to serve as the Regular Full‑Time Sous Chef. The role focuses on leading and inspiring kitchen staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences, while driving revenue and maintaining high standards of food safety and culinary excellence. Responsibilities Lead with inspiration to build high‑performing teams that deliver measurable results. Focus on menu planning, creativity, and continuous improvement. Adapt to change and bring innovative thinking to drive Food & Beverage revenue, reduce costs, and increase guest satisfaction. Collaborate closely with the Restaurant General Manager and Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to problem‑solve and recommend solutions. Demonstrate strong business acumen, managing labor, food, and supply costs to achieve kitchen financial goals. Assist in overseeing all culinary staff and support all aspects of kitchen operations as Sous Chef, with a focus on banquets. Maintain a clean, professional appearance and follow all food safety standards, operating, maintaining, and properly cleaning kitchen equipment. Follow Four Seasons Food Standards, recipes, and plating guidelines to ensure timely and efficient food service to guests. Perform additional duties as assigned by culinary leadership. Qualifications 5+ years of Culinary Manager experience, preferably in a luxury hotel setting. High school education; cooking school or culinary institute education preferred. Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency in English required; Spanish preferred. Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
