Business Analyst

Duration: Long-Term Contract Experience: 5-7 Years Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (flexibility available with Project Manager approval) Technologies & Tools Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management, user stories, requirements tracking, and sprint planning Process Mapping Tools (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar) User Story & Acceptance Criteria Development Functional Testing & User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Workflow Documentation & Business Process Modeling Test Planning, Test Script Development, and Defect Tracking Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Collaboration with Development, QA, IT, and Product teams Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Azure DevOps, requirements gathering, process documentation, functional testing, and stakeholder management . This role will serve as the bridge between business and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable requirements and ensuring solutions are thoroughly tested and aligned with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience documenting complex business processes, writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, conducting functional testing, and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts within an Agile delivery environment. Key Responsibilities Requirements Analysis & Agile Delivery Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders. Create and maintain Azure DevOps work items, features, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria . Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to refine requirements. Ensure requirements are complete, testable, and aligned with business priorities. Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and stakeholder reviews. Business Process Analysis & Documentation Analyze existing business processes, workflows, and operational procedures. Develop current-state and future-state process documentation. Create process maps, swimlane diagrams, workflow diagrams, and business requirements documentation. Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements that drive operational effectiveness. Testing & Quality Assurance Develop test plans, test scripts, and testing scenarios. Perform hands-on functional testing in Development and QA environments. Validate completed user stories against documented acceptance criteria. Log and track defects and support issue resolution efforts. Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions with business stakeholders. Verify defect remediation and ensure production readiness. Stakeholder Engagement Act as the primary liaison between business units and technical teams. Facilitate requirements workshops, process reviews, and solution discussions. Communicate project status, risks, issues, and dependencies effectively. Support change management initiatives through training materials, documentation, and user guidance. Required Qualifications 5-7 years of Business Analyst experience supporting technology and business transformation initiatives. Strong experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or comparable Agile work management platforms. Experience creating and managing user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements . Proven experience with process mapping, workflow documentation, and business process analysis . Hands-on experience with functional testing, defect management, and UAT coordination . Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles (SDLC). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities. Experience collaborating with Development, QA, Product, and IT teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience within large enterprise environments. Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies. Experience supporting change management and organizational adoption efforts. Familiarity with reporting, metrics, and operational performance analysis.
