Senior Manager, Learning & Development

This role will shape the commercial learning strategy supporting a major upcoming launch in the advanced cancer immunotherapy space.
You'll build the foundational learning infrastructure needed to prepare commercial teams for launch and sustain long-term field effectiveness.
The position owns onboarding, field readiness, certification, and ongoing capability development for customer-facing teams.
You'll translate complex scientific, product, and disease-state information into engaging learning experiences that enable confident and compliant customer interactions.
Working across Commercial, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Operations, Regulatory, Legal, and Human Resources, you'll ensure learning priorities remain aligned with business strategy.
The role combines strategic program design with hands-on execution, measurement, continuous improvement, and vendor management.
This US-remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced life sciences learning leader who thrives in a launch environment and enjoys building scalable programs from the ground up.

Accountabilities:

• Design, implement, and continuously evolve commercial onboarding, training, certification, and capability development programs, with a strong focus on field-based teams.
• Build launch-readiness programs covering disease-state education, product knowledge, competitive intelligence, and the scientific foundations required for effective customer engagement.
• Prepare commercial teams for external scientific exchange involving product, disease-state, and advanced cell therapy education.
• Develop learning programs that support the launch and ongoing understanding of pipeline assets and PRAME as a tumor antigen target.
• Create and maintain training materials that reinforce knowledge and incorporate new clinical, scientific, product, and market information.
• Ensure all learning and development activities meet applicable regulatory, legal, compliance, and promotional requirements.
• Apply adult learning principles and innovative digital learning technologies to create engaging and effective development experiences.
• Establish measurement and feedback systems to evaluate learning effectiveness, identify gaps, and continuously improve programs based on field performance and learner insights.
• Maintain a centralized, well-organized repository of training materials and scientific resources, ensuring version control, consistency, and accessibility.
• Gather insights from field teams and cross-functional stakeholders to identify capability gaps and translate findings into practical learning solutions.
• Partner with Commercial Leadership and functions including Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Operations, Regulatory, Legal, and Human Resources to align learning programs with organizational priorities.
• Manage external vendors supporting learning platforms, content development, technology, and delivery to ensure quality, efficiency, and operational excellence.
• Support the development of scalable learning processes and infrastructure that can evolve alongside the commercial organization and future product launches.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, specialty therapeutics, or a closely related life sciences environment.
• At least 4 years of experience in commercial training, learning and development, sales training, field readiness, or a related function.
• Experience with cell therapy, TCR T-cell therapies, adoptive cellular therapies, or other advanced therapeutics.
• Demonstrated experience building and delivering onboarding and capability development programs for customer-facing or field-based teams.
• Proven experience supporting product launch preparation and execution.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to translate complex scientific and commercial information into practical learning experiences.
• Experience developing certification programs, field-readiness frameworks, and learning measurement or analytics programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with learning management systems and digital learning platforms.
• Oncology experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting treatment center onboarding or market access initiatives is preferred.
• Experience working within a first-launch organization or emerging biotechnology environment is a plus.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across diverse business functions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and program management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt learning strategies in a rapidly evolving commercial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining scientific accuracy, compliance, and consistency across learning materials.
• Ability to use data, feedback, and field insights to identify opportunities and continuously improve learning effectiveness.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

• Annual salary range of $165,000-$180,000.
