Position:

\tSeeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week travel assignment. The Sterile Processing Tech will be responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing, assembling, and distributing reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment throughout the hospital while ensuring compliance with infection prevention and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

\tClean, disinfect, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols.
\tAssemble and prepare surgical case carts based on physician preference cards.
\tMonitor and document sterilization indicators including biological, chemical, and physical testing results.
\tMaintain inventory and restock sterile supplies and equipment.
\tOperate sterilization and decontamination equipment safely and according to manufacturer guidelines.
\tDistribute sterile supplies and equipment throughout the facility.
\tMaintain sterile processing work areas in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
\tFollow PPE, infection control, and safety procedures at all times.
\tEducation
\tHigh School Diploma or GED required.
\tSterile Processing Technician Program preferred.
\tCertifications
\tBLS Certification required.
\tSterile Processing Technician Certification preferred.
\tExperience
\tMinimum 2+ years of Sterile Processing experience preferred.
\tPrevious hospital sterile processing experience strongly preferred.
