It is a consulting-oriented analytics position designed to build future leaders in workforce strategy, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision-making.What You'll Work On:Data Engineering & Analytics DeliveryExtract, transform, and validate data from enterprise HR systems and cloud-based platforms (e.g., Azure)Develop and optimize scalable SQL-based data pipelines to enable efficient analytics deliveryDesign, build, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reporting solutions (e.g., Power BI) to support enterprise and business needsEnsure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with governance and privacy standardsContribute to the development of reusable data assets, standardized reporting frameworks, and reusable analytics assetsAdvanced Analytics & Insight GenerationConduct deep-dive analyses across key workforce domains such as attrition, hiring, internal mobility, span of control, and organizational healthApply advanced analytical techniques, including statistical modeling, segmentation, predictive, and trend analysis using R and/or PythonTranslate data into clear, compelling insights and recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiencesSupport development and refinement of analytical models, approaches, and tools to enhance team capabilityIdentify patterns, risks, and opportunities, and translate them into clear, actionable insights and recommendationsQuantify the business impact of workforce trends and translate insights into measurable outcomes (e.g., attrition cost, hiring effectiveness, organizational efficiency)Stakeholder Partnership & ConsultingPartner with HR Business Partners, COEs, and other stakeholders to understand workforce challenges and define analytical approachesTranslate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical frameworks and deliverablesDeliver insights through clear storytelling and executive-ready narratives, tailored to both technical and non-technical audiencesInfluence decision-making through data-driven recommendations, even in complex or ambiguous situationsProgressively lead analytics engagements with increasing independence and ownershipPeople Analytics Product Ownership & InnovationOwn defined analytics solutions (e.g., dashboards, models, workforce domains) end-to-end, including design, delivery, and continuous improvementApply product thinking to analytics—ensuring solutions are scalable, user-centric, and aligned to business needsLeverage automation and AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilots, automated analytics platforms) to improve efficiency and speed to insightConnect analytical outputs to strategic workforce priorities such as workforce planning, scenario modeling, and HR investment decisionsIncorporate external benchmarks and labor market insights to contextualize workforce analytics findingsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Economics, I/O Psychology); Master’s preferredMinimum 5+ years of experience in people analytics, workforce analytics, or a related analytical roleProficiency in R and/or Python for data analysis and statistical modelingStrong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets in cloud environments (e.g., Azure)Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)Experience with data extraction, cleaning, and transformation in structured datasetsDesigned analytics solutions as scalable products (dashboards, models, data assets) with a focus on usability, adoption, and business impactFoundational understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in business or HR analytics contextsStrong attention to detail with a commitment to data quality, governance, and confidentialityAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience applying statistical methods such as regression, predictive modeling, or classification techniques in workforce contextsFamiliarity with HR data domains (e.g., employee lifecycle, recruiting, engagement, DEI, performance)Experience working in a consultative or project-based analytics environment with HR or business leadersExperience working with or exposure to Generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) in analytics, reporting, or workflow automationFamiliarity with applying AI techniques to unstructured data (e.g., text analytics, sentiment analysis from surveys or feedback)Exposure to executive-level communication and storytelling with dataExperience building scalable analytics solutions or enterprise reporting frameworksUnderstanding of labor market trends and external benchmarkingLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
