Registered Nurse (RN) - Lake Orion, MI PRN 1st Shift OpportunityThis Occupational Health Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing emergency care, first aid and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses within standing orders. This position requires the knowledge of prevention of illness & injury, protection from work related and environmental hazards, and promotion and restoration of health. This Occupational Health Registered Nurse (RN) will maintain accurate records related to OSHA, Workers' Compensation and corporate reporting. Motivated to work independently in an on-site medical clinic within a manufacturing facility.Key Job Elements:Administers professional nursing care to sick and/or injured employeesPerforms and evaluates various clinical and diagnostic testsAssists plant physician in minor surgical proceduresInterviews and documents medical history of employeesWorks effectively with the Health Services team and other departmentsMaintains appropriate medical records to ensure quality and accuracyPerforms and documents physical exams and assessmentsAdheres to common practices and procedures throughout the departmentMaintains equipment and suppliesAssists with the promotion of plant wellness programsInterfaces with health services customers in a knowledgeable and professional mannerRequired:High level of initiative and sound independent judgmentDemonstrates analytical abilityDemonstrates effective oral and written communication skillsProficient with electronic medical records and basic computer programs/softwareEducation and TrainingRN Diploma / Associate Degree required, BSN or BS preferredValid, unrestricted RN licenseCertified in Healthcare Provider CPR/AED, BLS CertificationER / Med Surg / Urgent Care / ICU / CCU / Telemetry Preferred: 2 years
