Senior Product Manager

Seeking a Senior Product Manager who knows the post-acute world from the inside. Not someone who has read about it. Someone who has lived in it, on the operations side: running the billing apparatus, administering facilities, managing census, and growing the business. This is not a role built around clinical practice. A medical or clinical understanding, or a clinical degree, is a plus, not a requirement.

You will report directly to the Director of Product Management. This is a product management role first. The core of the job is working with the Director of Product Management and the CEO to strategize and define what gets built on the EHR roadmap, then writing the feature stories and acceptance criteria that engineering builds from and driving execution with the engineering team so that new SNF solutions actually ship. Product strategy feeds that work: mapping the market, prioritizing what we build and when.

Rollout keeps it honest: staying close to how the company lands in facilities so what you learn there flows straight back into the roadmap.

Rollout stays on your plate, but as a supporting responsibility rather than the center of the role. You keep a hand in how the company lands in facilities, you shape the implementation and training playbooks, and you stay close to operators after go-live to confirm the EMR is doing what we said it would do. What you learn during rollouts feeds the roadmap. What ships from engineering changes what implementation looks like. Keeping that loop tight is part of your job.

This is not a role for someone who wants to stay distant from the details. You will live in the Jira backlog. You will write the feature stories and acceptance criteria. You will sit in sprint conversations with engineering, and from time to time on training calls with new facility staff. You will be the person who knows whether a shipped feature actually solves the problem it was supposed to solve and whether a rolled-out facility is actually using it.

What you will own

• Product roadmap: You work with the Director of Product Management and the CEO to strategize and define what gets built on the EHR roadmap. You bring the market evidence and operator asks to those conversations, you sequence the agreed work into a plan engineering can execute, and you keep the roadmap current as a living document. You do not own the roadmap alone. You shape it and you carry it.
• Feature stories and execution: You write the feature stories, acceptance criteria, and specs that engineering builds from, and you drive the work from backlog to shipped. You run the Jira board, keep stories moving through the pipeline, clear blockers, and hold the line on scope so that releases land when we said they would.
• Engineering partnership: You work with our engineers daily, translating clinical and operational needs into technical requirements they can act on. You refine the backlog with them, sit in their sprint conversations, and stay close enough to the build that nothing gets lost between the story and the software.
• Product strategy: You drive market penetration across the SNF and ALF segments. That means understanding our buyers, understanding the regulatory pressure they operate inside, and prioritizing the features and integrations that get us into more facilities, faster.
• Facility rollouts: A supporting responsibility. You shape how the company lands in each new facility, from the rollout plan and initial EMR configuration through the first quarter of live use, and you keep the standard fast and consistent.
• Implementation team and training: Also supporting. You hire and lead a small team of implementation specialists who are the hands on the ground during rollouts, and you own the training program they deliver to facility staff. You set the playbooks and keep them current as we add facilities.
• Vendor partnerships and negotiations: You own the third-party vendor relationships the EMR depends on to function inside SNF and ALF facilities. You identify the right partners, structure the commercial and technical terms, and participate in the negotiations alongside the CEO and counsel. Pharmacy, labs, eRx, billing clearinghouses, clinical content, interoperability. Wherever the company connects to the rest of the post-acute stack, you are at the table.
• Feature ROI: Every roadmap decision needs a clear answer to two questions. Who benefits, and by how much. You own those answers.
• Customer and stakeholder follow through: After we ship, you stay close to the operators, clinicians, and end users actually living inside the product. You check in, you watch how it gets used, and you confirm the experience is genuinely a good one and that the ROI we promised is showing up. When something falls short, you catch it early and bring it back into the roadmap before it hardens into a pattern.
• Success metrics and continuous improvement: You define what good looks like across rollout, usage, and training, and you own the plan for getting better at each one. Time to go live, training completion, adoption depth in the first 90 days, support volume by facility, and operator satisfaction. You pick the metrics that matter, you watch them, and you fold what you learn back into the playbook, the product, and the team.
• Other duties as assigned: This is an early-stage company. Roles shift as the business grows, and you will move where the work is.

Requirements

• Product management expertise: Expert knowledge and experience developing product roadmaps, writing feature stories, and driving project execution with engineering teams. You have built and driven roadmaps for shipped software products, defended their priorities, and carried features from idea to production. Healthcare or EHR product work is a strong plus.
• Industry experience: Deep operational experience inside skilled nursing or assisted living facilities, on the business side of the building. You have operated the billing apparatus, administering facilities, managed census and occupancy, or driven facility growth. You should know what MDS means, what a care plan looks like, how the census flows, and how billing moves from admission to discharge, because you have owned those workflows yourself.
• Operations first: We are not looking for someone whose SNF experience is mostly clinical. Time at the bedside is respected, but this seat is built around the business of running and growing facilities, and hands-on operational experience is what carries it.
• SNF lifecycle understanding: Working knowledge of the full lifecycle from referral and admission through care delivery, reimbursement, and discharge planning. You can speak credibly with administrators, DONs, and clinical staff.
• CMS reporting and MDS coding: Expert working knowledge of CMS reporting requirements and hands on MDS coding expertise, grounded in the full RAI process from assessment through care plan. You know the MDS item sets, how Section GG functions inside the MDS and why accurate GG coding matters, how coding drives reimbursement under PDPM, and what the Medicare required assessment schedule demands of a facility. Both are required for this role.
• Reimbursement and quality measures: Required. You know the SNF quality measures and how they connect to revenue, survey posture, and referral standing, and you understand how Medicare and Medicaid claims move from MDS assessment to payment. Assessments, reimbursement, and the regulations around them are the machinery that produces revenue for SNF operators, and you have worked inside that machinery.
• Implementation leadership: Direct experience leading software rollouts into facilities, ideally EMR or other clinical systems. You have run an implementation plan from kickoff through go-live and held the room when timelines slipped or scope drifted.
• Training development and delivery: Experience building and delivering training programs for facility or clinical staff. You can adapt the same material for a nurse, an administrator, and a billing lead without it sounding rehearsed.
• Team building: Experience hiring, onboarding, and leading a small team. You know how to define the work, set the bar, and grow a function from a handful of people to something that scales with the company.
• Translation skills: Demonstrated ability to translate product requirements into engineering work. You can write a story that an engineer can build from without forty follow-up questions. You know what a good acceptance criterion looks like.
• Atlassian fluency: Hands-on experience running a backlog in Jira and maintaining product documentation in Confluence.
• AI tool fluency: Comfort using AI tools as part of your daily workflow, Anthropic Claude in particular. We use AI throughout our process, and you should be working with it, not around it.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication. You can move between a clinical conversation, a sales conversation, and an engineering conversation without losing the thread.
• Travel: Willingness to travel periodically for stakeholder meetings, sales support, and facility deployments. Some travel may land on short notice when a deployment needs hands on the ground.
• Education: A four-year college degree from an accredited institution.
• Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred

• Real-world facility experience as an administrator, executive director, business office manager, billing or revenue cycle lead, or operational or growth lead inside an SNF or ALF.
• A medical or clinical understanding, or a clinical degree. It helps when the conversation turns to care plans and clinical workflows, but it is not required.
• Native or near native English fluency. Much of this role lives in front of facility staff during training and in front of operators during rollouts, and clarity in spoken English matters.
• Experience launching a product into regulated environments where compliance and audit posture matter.
• Prior experience standing up a customer success, implementation, or professional services function from scratch.

Logistics

• Location: This is an onsite position based in Wisconsin. Remote work is possible during the transition if required, with full in-office presence expected once the transition is complete.
• Contract to hire: If you join on a contract-to-hire basis, we expect the work to be mostly remote during the contract period, with a transition to on-site work within six months.
• Travel: Periodic, not constant. Plan on stakeholder meetings, sales support, and facility deployments. Some trips will come up on short notice.
• Camera on policy: We are a remote team, and we hold our online meetings on camera. Any video call requires the camera to be on. That applies to internal meetings, customer calls, training sessions, and stakeholder reviews. Real time presence matters when the team is distributed.
• Reporting structure: Reports directly to the Director of Product Management. Partners closely with engineering, sales, and operations. Hiring manager for the implementation specialist team.
