Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with Level I/II trauma center experience for a Level 1 Trauma Center surgical services position.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma Center hospital setting
• 5x8 day shift schedule from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM with no block scheduling
• Every other weekend requirement, approximately 2 weekends per month
• No call requirements
• Mandatory float facility, may float within scope to meet facility needs at any Cook facility up to 50 miles from home facility with as little as 2 hours notice
• Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center or large teaching hospital
• Strong experience required in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, and Trauma services
• BLS certification required
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential through NBSTA or NCCT
• Illinois state license required (license required if applicable), no pending licenses accepted
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years

Additional Information

• Local candidates accepted and preferred within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• RTO limited to 5 days maximum with no more than 2 consecutive days
• No RTO on weekends, holidays, or the day before/after a holiday
• Proof of COVID vaccination required, booster not required
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting an offer
• No home unit assignment; clinicians may be floated to a variety of units including outside their primary area of competency, with a team-based model used in such cases
