Job Description

Hire Up Staffing is seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Lead for a busy tire shop in Gulfport, MS . If you're a hands-on leader with warehouse experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, this is a great opportunity to join a growing team.

Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Summary
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring inventory is organized, shipments are received and processed accurately, and the warehouse team operates safely and efficiently. This individual will lead by example while supporting the day-to-day operations of a high-volume tire distribution facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support warehouse staff with daily tasks and workflow.
• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming tire shipments.
• Pull, stage, and prepare orders for customer pickup and delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with cycle counts.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently.
• Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and OSHA compliant.
• Train new warehouse employees on company procedures and safety standards.
• Coordinate with management to prioritize daily workload and meet customer demands.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Assist customers with loading products when needed.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment while maintaining productivity.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience required.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in the tire, automotive, or distribution industry is a plus.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 75 pounds .
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
