Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Transplant)

Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts (6:45–17:15) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and/or circulator duties in a high-volume operating room with a focus on liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant cases
• Assist with organ implantation procedures in transplant recipients (not limited to organ procurement/harvesting)
• Operate Misonix/CUSA equipment proficiently during applicable surgical cases
• Cover additional OR cases (non-transplant) when transplant/liver cases are not scheduled
• Participate in on-call coverage, including one on-call shift per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of OR RN experience; 2 years preferred, with at least 2 years of direct liver/transplant OR RN experience required
• Demonstrated experience with liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures, specifically organ implantation into recipients
• Proficiency with Misonix/CUSA equipment
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of submission
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start date
• Active or pending RN license accepted; facility does not accept any license hits

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience charting in EPIC
• Familiarity with a short-term acute care, teaching hospital environment
• Ability to pass EKG and pharmacology assessments during orientation (two attempts maximum; no remediation)
