Development Specialist

We are seeking our next Part-Time Development Specialist who will be all-in on our mission and who will perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to support the operations of the assigned program/department and facilitate smooth office procedures.

DESCRIPTION

The Development Specialist builds and supports relationships with businesses, community organizations, and individual donors that may provide underwriting, sponsorship, or major-gift support. This position expands the station’s prospect base, conducts outreach and follow-up, assists with proposals and cultivation, maintains accurate relationship records, and supports sponsor and donor stewardship. The role provides consistent front-line development activity that helps move prospective supporters from initial contact toward sustained investment in Panhandle PBS.

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field. Preferred:

EXPERIENCE

Required: Three (3) years of experience in fundraising, business, marketing, public relations, advertising or community relations. Preferred: Previous non-profit, public and/or customer relations and marketing experience. Database experience and management knowledge. Knowledge of customer service, relationship-building, fundraising, sales, or community engagement principles. Strong interpersonal, communication, and networking skills. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with donors, sponsors, community partners, and the public. Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Ability to communicate professionally in both written and verbal formats. #J-18808-Ljbffr Amarillo College
