Piano Accompanist

Pianist – To accompany choirs and musical/plays for 2026-2027 school year Experience accompanying both vocal ensembles and soloists SCHEDULE: Average weekly schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday – 2 hours per day Concert weeks: Monday-Friday – 2 hours per day, plus dress rehearsal and performance. Salary: $20.00/hr. Job Goal: To collaborate with and assist the choral director as necessary and accompany whole group rehearsals, sectionals, and performances. Performances include concerts, choral festival, solo & ensemble, and fundraising events. Expectations: Accompany and play parts for two ensembles Play music of varied styles and types, including but not limited to the following: classical, light opera, musical theater, jazz, rock, and current popular music Read and play single and multiple vocal parts in the creative process Ability to follow a conductor Sight read and learn music for multiple ensembles and soloists quickly Accept and implement artistic direction of the vocal music director and other colleagues in the creative process in a professional and collaborative manner Exhibit professional and stage etiquette to serve as a model of professionalism at all musical productions Exhibit positive, professional communication skills and appearance with students, staff, parents and community Evaluation: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel. #J-18808-Ljbffr Michigan Association of School Boards
