Supply Assurance Buyer II

The Supply Assurance Buyer II role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted material availability in support of production and inventory goals at the 9H Packaging site. This role is responsible for executing purchasing activities for both direct and indirect materials, managing inventory levels, and proactively identifying and resolving supply risks. The Supply Assurance Buyer applies established policies and procedures to manage moderate scope and complexity within the supply chain while ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.

Leveraging SAP and other systems, the Buyer actively manages purchase orders, monitors and manages inventory levels, and collaborates cross-functionally with Production Scheduler, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to support on-time production execution. The role plays a key part in maintaining supplier performance, resolving invoice discrepancies, processing returns, and supporting audit and compliance requirements. Additionally, the Buyer contributes to continuous improvement efforts by identifying purchasing efficiencies, optimizing stocking strategies, and supporting forecasting and planning activities when needed.

Location: This position must be based in Irvine, California and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

How You'll Make An Impact:

• Monitor inventory levels to support production requirements and inventory targets.
• Issue and manage purchase orders for direct and indirect materials to ensure continuity of supply.
• Collaborate with Production Demand Planning and Scheduling to support production needs and manage expedites.
• Evaluate and adjust stocking levels to align with business demand and minimize excess or shortages.
• Support cost control initiatives and identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiencies.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3 - 5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a related field.
• Experience issuing purchase orders and expediting materials preferred.
• Working knowledge of purchasing principles and materials management.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Basic negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.
• Progress toward CPM and/or CPIM certification is a plus.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $77,600 - $106,700 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
