Role Overview

We are seeking an organized, proactive Part-Time Office Manager to oversee daily office operations, maintain clean HR/financial administration, and supervise a dedicated remote support assistant to keep our growing team running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll & HRIS Administration

• Administer bi-weekly payroll processing end-to-end using our HRIS, ensuring accuracy in hours, wage calculations, and deductions.
  
• Serve as primary HRIS administrator, maintaining clean, up-to-date employee records, PTO tracking, and tax details.
  
• Coordinate multi-state payroll requirements, ensuring necessary out-of-state EINs and state tax accounts are set up and compliant before processing pay runs.
  
• Facilitate administrative onboarding and offboarding steps within the HRIS platform.
  
• Coordinate with benefits broker(s) to facilitate benefits.
  
• Coordinate multi-state HR admin, ensuring required out-of-state EINs and state tax IDs are properly registered and active.
  
• Manage employee onboarding/offboarding workflows and maintain compliance records within the HRIS.
  

2. Administrative Operations & Team Supervision

• Manage day-to-day office operations, facilities, vendor contracts, and supply logistics.
  
• Directly supervise, delegate administrative tasks to, and review the work of a remote support assistant.
  
• Maintain central operational workflows, digital filing systems, and team communication channels.
  

3. Financial & A/R Coordination

• Collaborate with our Remote Controller to handle localized physical financial workflows.
  
• Manage physical paper check deposits, mail processing, and payment logging.
  
• Conduct light, routine follow-ups on outstanding Accounts Receivable (A/R) invoices.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years in office management, operational support, or administrative management.
• Supervisory Skills: Proven ability to delegate effectively and manage virtual/remote support staff.
• Technical Skills: Experience working with modern HRIS platforms (e.g., Gusto, Rippling, BambooHR), accounting coordination, and tools like Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
• Core Competencies: High attention to detail regarding state compliance/EIN requirements, strong organizational skills, and discretion with confidential data.
  
• Location : Preferably based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for on-site requirements.

Benefits

Compensation & Schedule:

• Pay Rate: [$25.00 –$32.00] per hour, based on experience.
  
• Schedule: 20 hours per week (e.g., 4 hours/day Monday–Friday or 3 full days).
  Exact schedule negotiable upon hire.
