If you're looking for a different perspective on healthcare and senior living come join us today!You will enjoy:Tuition reimbursement & scholarship opportunitiesEmployee Referral Program resulting in $300-$500 for each successful employment referralOffering Everyday Pay!Your personal and professional growth is important to us, so we provide continual professional training and career advancement opportunities.You will enjoy being part of a great team in a fun, engaging work environment!Who you are:Has compassion for senior citizensAble to work with moderate to heavy physical effort 95% of the workdayAble to stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per dayAble to stoop and work from a kneeling position, perform repetitive bending, reaching, and stretchingAble to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. independentlyAble to operate a vacuum, work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects, and have constant contact with residentsAble to handle unpleasant odors, high heat levels, and institutional cleaning chemicalsHas effective communication skills, both oral and writtenAble to handle a multiplicity of routine tasks, following specific instructions carefully and general instructions completelyHolds a high school diploma or GED or is in the process of obtaining diploma or GEDSummary:The Caregiver is responsible for following the Companion Plan of Services to enhance the quality of life for clients who can benefit from companionship, emotional support, and assistance with appropriate instrumental Activities of Daily Living.Job Expectations:Assist all residents/clients with a high quality of personal care, including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, vital signs, height and weight checks per policyProviding companionship and emotional supportIf requested by the client or responsible party, verbally reminding client to take routine medicationsAccompanying clients to doctor appointments, recreational outings or shoppingCommunication skills including giving report to on-coming CaregiverObservation, reporting and documentation of client status and the services providedBasic infection control proceduresHelping maintain a clean and safe environmentPhysical, emotional and developmental characteristics of the population served, including the need for respect for the client, his privacy and propertyFood preparation and household choresAssist residents with mealtime - cuts food, encourages to eatComplete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to Caregiver ManagerCommunicate to residents, families, Department Heads and the Director of Resident Services / Health & Wellness Navigator when neededProvide activities as planned and/or directed.Quick response to calls and emergenciesAttendance and participation in staff meetingsComplete, accurate and timely documentationOther tasks as assigned by manager /directorHospitality Focus:Carillon Senior Living fully embraces a culture of hospitality.
