Job Title Nurse Manager Location Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, New Jersey Department Radiology – RN’s Status Salaried Shift Day Shift, Full Time Pay Range $100,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year Job Overview The Unit Nurse Leader ensures quality nursing care is delivered to all patients and their units in accordance with the hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and program plans. The Leader assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation and continuing education, and evaluates staff performance in line with organizational policies. The role participates in nursing Quality Improvement and assists with unit administration, including scheduling and payroll, and maintenance of supplies and equipment. The Leader adopts and models the clinical skills necessary to care for patients, takes daily assignments, practices developmental assessment of patient age‑specific needs, and ensures compliance with all relevant policies, laws, and regulations. Responsibilities Lead unit activities in alignment with hospital standards and policies. Evaluate staff performance and provide input into performance assessments. Participate in nursing quality improvement initiatives. Assist with administration: scheduling payroll, maintaining supplies and equipment. Model and maintain clinical skill proficiency to provide patient care. Use developmental principles to assess and meet patient age‑specific needs. Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and laws. Qualifications (Required) Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a BSN degree. Demonstrated clinical expertise in nursing. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills. Completion of all required orientation for Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. Certifications & Licenses (Required) Valid Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey. Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Scheduling Requirements Full‑time, day shift. 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. On‑call duties as required. Essential Functions Meet department-specific equipment competency checklist. Manage patient‑related activities with patients, families, and visitors. Maintain positive relationships with customers, employees, physicians, and medical units. Use feedback to improve processes and services to meet customer needs. Apply sound employee relations practices and maintain high visibility and accessibility. Respond promptly to customer requests and inquiries. Apply CQI principles in all work situations. Seek feedback and recommend improvements to quality, processes, and services.
