The audiology department at Texas Hearing Institute is seeking highly motivated Doctor of Audiology students for a comprehensive fourth‑year externship in pediatrics. This full‑time externship offers doctoral students the chance to learn about childhood hearing disorders, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and develop essential clinical skills for a career as a pediatric audiologist. Responsibilities Participate in diagnostic testing for pediatric hearing assessment. Collaborate with caregivers using a family‑centered approach to determine optimal intervention and treatment options. Assist Melinda Webb School staff with troubleshooting and daily listening checks of personal hearing technology and HAT. Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions. Apply current evidence‑based audiology protocols and best practices. Qualifications Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) students in their fourth year. Strong motivation to learn and work within a pediatric audiology setting. Current professional licensure or eligibility for licensure is advisable but not required at the time of application.
