Your best is waiting to be discovered.Rotating - 12 Hour (United States of America)This is a Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley job.Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Operating Room Charge Nurse performs those tasks directly related to preparing and maintaining anesthesia supplies and the equipment for surgical cases. Assists Anesthesiologist with patient care during procedures.Essential FunctionsThe essential functions listed below are general examples and not a description of comprehensive duties. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.At the start of shift, responsible for reviewing the daily maintenance of anesthesia supplies and equipment to ensure proper working conditionSupport Anesthesiologists when requested in Cath Lab, Labor & Delivery, and ER. Ensure anesthesia supplies and equipment are available and in working order in labor and delivery.Evening Tech will support evening crew as well as restock anesthesia carts and prepare OR suites for next day.Responsible for setting up, cleaning and turnover of anesthesia machines and cart to prepare for next procedure. Also responsible for recordkeeping in relation to work completed.Works with Materials Manager and medical supply to insure ordering of all anesthesia supplies and equipment.Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the C-I-CARE Standards of the Hospital. C-I-CARE is the foundation of Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley patient-experience and represents a framework for patient-centered interactions.Job QualificationsEducationHigh School graduate or equivalentExperience0-6 months operating room experienceLicense/CertificationCurrent American Heart Association BLS CertificationAnesthesia Technician certification preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesGood communication skills with the ability to read, write and understand the English languageAbility to work as a valued team memberProblem identification and resolution skillsEffective organizational, and interpersonal skills.Knowledgeable about current practice and compliance requirements within job role and specialty.Strong computer skillsStrong attention to detailKnowledge of Medical TerminologyBasic knowledge of surgical settings/environmentPhysical Demand and Working ConditionsThe Physical Requirements and Working Conditions in which the job is typically performed are available from the Occupational Health Department.
