We also like to have fun :) About the Role This is a pipeline generation-focused role, first and foremost. Most of your time will go to generating pipeline: outbound prospecting, driving attendance for our executive dinner series, and qualifying inbound leads. Closing is a real growth path here, but it is earned, not given. Once you have held 40 cumulative qualified outbound meetings with ICP contacts where the prospect books a second call with our AE, you unlock full closing responsibility on your own SMB accounts. At roughly one qualified meeting per week that is approximately 10 months of strong performance. Get there faster and you unlock it faster. The role is based in our Culver City office 1–3 days/week (lunch's on us on office days), remote the rest of the week. You should also expect to travel 1-2 times per quarter for events. What You'll Own Outbound pipeline — cold outreach across email, LinkedIn, and phone to book meetings and drive event attendance Event invitations — personally inviting CHROs/CPOs to dinners and experiences in target markets; a high-converting channel when done well Inbound qualification — converting inbound leads into qualified meetings CRM hygiene — logging all activity in HubSpot same day, every day A Day in the Life Morning: inbound follow-ups, clear anything outstanding Mid-morning: outbound push across email/LinkedIn for event attendance and intro calls Midday: phone outreach for event invitations Afternoon: discovery calls with qualified prospects Late afternoon: HubSpot updates and pipeline review Activity Expectations 80+ outbound touches/day across email, LinkedIn, and phone 3–5 confirmed prospect meetings per week Event guest lists finalized 3+ weeks ahead of each event Same-day activity logging, every day Every touch should be ICP-qualified and purposeful — this isn't a volume-based motion. What We're Looking For You are hungry, coachable, curious, and detail-oriented — you catch what others miss and follow through on the small stuff You have 1-2 years of BDR/SDR experience, or other sales-relevant experience, ideally at a startup or fast-paced company environment. You are based in LA and able to work from Culver City 1–3 days/week. You are excited and comfortable to represent Mento at events with senior executives. You are familiar with HubSpot (or similar CRM) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator You are a high achiever. You have a demonstrated history of high achievement, and pushing yourself at work and/or in life. You operate AI-first and are experience using in AI tools and automations What You'll Get A path to AE — Hit 40 cumulative outbound meetings held with ICP contacts and you immediately unlock closing responsibility on your own SMB accounts. Two consecutive quarters of quota attainment after that and you are having the full AE conversation with a larger territory and a bigger number. We will put both milestones in writing before you start.
