Automation Technicians will have on call responsibilities, work with multiple work teams in the support of oil and gas operations.Install, commission and maintain controls, electrical and instrumentation equipment in compliance with piping and Instrument DiagramsTest and repair electrical and instrumentation systems utilized by production and control equipment to ensure adherence to Control Narratives and Cause & EffectsProficient in controller logics, networking and HMI designEvaluate electrical systems and instrumentation to establish plans for repair, perform preventative maintenance and record changes to facility designsCapable of interfacing with, troubleshooting and repairing various control and networking devicesWorks daily with Operations, Engineering and various Organizational groups to meet safety, environmental and production goalsAbility to plan daily work activities in accordance with established Company and Regulatory proceduresAbility to communicate (read, write, and speak) effectivelyAbility to operate hand tools or other equipment to accomplish assigned tasksDemonstrate ability to maintain a consistent safe work ethicBe able/willing to attend and complete required training coursesBe able/willing to work in small team environmentsBe able/willing to work in various locations, both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions and temperaturesMust possess a valid driver's license and utilize safe driving skillsPreferred Qualifications/ Experience5 years of experience as an IC&E Technician or an Associate's Degree in Instrumentation Controls or Electrical SystemsUnderstand the process of Oil Field Delivery Systems from Well Pad to Tank Battery to Central Delivery Points and Saltwater Disposal SystemPLC proficiency including lader logic, Modicon, Allen Bradley, Fisher ROC and IDEC etc.Experience with Rosemount Transmitter and Hart protocol a plus, and knowledge of control valves and positionersKnowledge of PID control loopsAble to use Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)An ExxonMobil career is one designed to last.
