Job Title: Emergency Department RN Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN license in KY Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Must be able to function independently. Must possess critical thinking and clinical skills. Must have foresight to understand nursing standards of care and regulatory requirements. Must be a team player who takes initiative and maintains a positive attitude with staff, EMS, and patients/families. Description: Join our Emergency Department team as a Registered Nurse. This position involves providing care to a diverse patient population including adults and pediatrics. You will be working with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1. The department has 11 beds and utilizes GE monitors. Current electronic health record system in use is Medhost. You will be expected to have strong assessment skills to manage a variety of conditions. Common diagnoses include cardiology, neurology, GI issues, psychiatric emergencies, trauma, and code blue situations. Weekend work is required every third weekend and as needed. There are no floating requirements for this position. All travelers must possess the required certifications prior to starting. Candidates must demonstrate a mix of community hospital and tertiary care facility practice.
